This track doesn't suffer this malady, but there are other tracks on the album that have this "problem". It makes playing along with the CD impossible, which is really frustrating, since this is something I love to do. Consequently, it is also how I figure out most songs. At any rate, I'm working on the rest of the tracks for this album and there might be an entire album transcription in the future. This song is easily my favorite off an *incredible* album that is miles ahead of their first offering in terms of songwriting and maturity. The song is pretty easy to figure out once you realize that it's capoed. I hope that you enjoy this transcription, and as always, if you have any questions, comments, etc, drop me a line. If you like and use this transcription, drop me a line as well. It's nice to know that people appreciate your work and it provokes them to do more transcriptions in the future. --------------> CAPO 2nd FRET <--------------- Chords used in this transcription: 022033 - F#m7 320033 - A X00233 - Esus4 X02033 - B7sus4 X32033 - F#m7aug5 Basically, you're using Em7, G, Dsus4, A7sus4, and Cadd9 shapes except with a capo. Whee! Verses: Listen to the recording for the rhythm. For each line of lyrics, play the following progression: [F#m7, A, Esus4, B7sus4] Verse 1: Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you By now you should've somehow realized what you gotta do I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do About you now Verse 2: Backbeat the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do About you now Prechorus: [F#m7+5, Esus4, B7sus4] And all the roads we have to walk are winding And all the lights that lead us there are blinding [F#m7+5, Esus4] There are many things that I *This part has quick changes, listen closely* [A, Esus4, F#m7, Esus4, B7sus4] Would like to say to you, but I don't know how Chorus: [F#m7+5, Esus4, F#m7] 'Cause maybe You're gonna be the one that saves me? And after all You're my wonderwall Verse 3: [Same progression as the earlier verse] Today was gonna be the day, but they'll never throw it back to you By now you should've somehow realized what you're not to do I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do About you now [Same progression as prechorus] And all the roads that lead you there are winding And all the lights that light the way are blinding There are many things that I would Like to say to you But I don't know how [Same progression as chorus. Have you caught on yet? Good! :) ] I said maybe You're gonna be the one who saves me? And after all You're my wonderwall I said maybe You're gonna be the one who saves me? And after all You're my wonderwall I said maybe You're gonna be the one who saves me? You're gonna be the one who saves me? You're gonna be the one who saves me? For the little solo at the end, just make something up in F#m pentatonic and you'll be all set. You can make it as sweet or as nasty as you like. Song can be found on the album "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" and was released as a single in the UK and the US. I've seen alot of transcriptions of this song that have the correct chords listed, but have left out the song's guitar fills, the parts played by the second and third guitar, and the often overlooked (and faintly heard) riff at the very end of the track, so here goes. To play this song along with the CD, you must put a capo behind the 2nd fret and play the following chords. All tablature positions are relative to the capo.
